Western Sky Community Care to Distribute Toys in Deming and Columbus

Western Sky Community Care will celebrate this season of giving with its “Joy for the Holidays” toy distribution event for children ages 0 to 18. Santa Claus himself will be on hand at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 10 at Mimbres Valley Learning Center in Columbus, and then again at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 17 at Luna County Courthouse Park in Deming (lines may begin forming at 9 a.m.). Santa will hand out gifts to any child in attendance; no membership or qualifications required. Gifts will be distributed on a first come, first served basis, and the child must be present to receive a gift.

Western Sky is partnering with Play Sharity, Save the Children, Luna County, and the City of Deming. 2022 marks the third year of this annual celebration which was created to ensure all children in Luna County have at least one gift to open Christmas morning.

“Having the opportunity to bring the children of Luna County such a joyful resource fills our hearts during the holidays. Thank you to Western Sky Community Care, Save the Children, the City of Deming, and Luna County for bringing this amazing opportunity to the children of Luna County,” said Monica Topham, Executive Director of Play Sharity Children’s Museum & Library

“Children are New Mexico’s most precious commodity; they are our future. At Western Sky, we believe in fostering the development of healthy bodies and minds. What better way to grow a positive mentality than by demonstrating unconditional generosity?” said Western Sky President and CEO Jean Wilms.
